Coping with Tier 3 Colleges: Navigating the Path to Success
Choice of college plays a crucial role in shaping academic and personal growth. No one wants to be in tier-3 colleges unfortunately many student lands there, the reality is that not everyone can secure admission in top-tier colleges. If you find yourself in tier-3 college, it is important to remember that "HARD WORK PAYS OFF" means when you work hard, you achieve success or good result.
In this article, we will explore strategies of coping with life in a Tier-3 college and make the best of your growth.
First of all, you have two options:
1. Enjoy college life now and learn later at a job.
2. Spend most of your time on academic if you want to get good at it.
Let me tell you story of my brother. He was from tier-3 college CSE branch, He can also enjoy there but choose to spend his time on coding. He did code while attending online classes. He didn't pay attention to in online classes he just plugged earphone just to say attendance and code in background. Developed a habit of studying very quickly. he had adapted to read/ learn very quickly for exams and only give min 6 hours to max 1 day for each exam's prep no matter how much the syllabus. His college follows relative marking scheme so targets to score around 60-70% marks so that he gets good enough cgpa. after classes get over, he codes most of the day, only get off for food or something else more important. You can make a schedule and follow it strictly where you limit your entertainment and social media use. It's all about discipline. You can try reducing your sleep to 6 hours if that suits you, he once took it to 5 but that had adverse effects on his health so increased to 7. (btw don't sacrifice on sleep, it's the most important thing of all). Before entering college, he knew about the shit education system so he never depended or paid attention to college, his goal was just to get good at coding. Also, when he had physical classes, he used to hit the back bench and code on paper/ in mind and after class got over coded it on his system. This approach works and a lot of my friends have improved their skills drastically. BTW no need to feel hopeless, our system sucks. You can get good at job too. don't take too much pressure, believe in yourself, work on your skills and you will succeed.
